Charles V (Ghent, February 24, 1500 - CUACOS DE Yuste (Spain), September 21, 1558), for his empowerment statement
as Charles of Luxembourg, from the House of Habsburg, was lord of land since 1506 for all Dutch regions,
from 1516 to 1556 when Charles I king of Spain and from 1519 to 1556 when Emperor Charles V of Holy Catholic Empire.
In Flanders, he is commonly known as the Emperor Charles. The countries which he ruled, were together the largest
European empire since that of Charles the Great.
